Capital Area United Way invites any contributor in the tri-county area to petition for a position on the Board of Directors.
To be eligible for nomination to the board, candidates must secure 25 signatures of Capital Area United Way members (contributors to the annual fund raising campaign and/or persons who give service to the Capital Area United Way). Signatures must be legible and are subject to verification.
Petitions can be received from the Capital Area United Way, 330 Marshall Street, #203, Lansing, and must be filed by 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
The Board of Directors is charged with serving as an ambassador and providing governance for the organization.
The board meets a minimum of six times during the year to discuss current business. These meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Seven standing committees support the board; each one led by and composed of dedicated volunteers.
