Capital Area United Way (CAUW) is mobilizing to direct resources and support to our partner agencies who are tasked with meeting the needs of the community during this COVID19 outbreak and its consequences. We are anticipating great strain on all community social services, including childcare, food pantries, workforce support, mobile meal services, meals for food insecure children who are home-bound, and more. In anticipation of the increased need, CAUW has reactivated its Emergency Relief Fund, a direct assistance program which addresses specific, immediate, and vital needs in our community. In this case, the fund will be used for rent and mortgage payment assistance for households affected by the COVID-19 crisis. No administrative or fundraising costs will be deducted from donations to this fund. For more information and to make a donation, visit www.micauw.org/emergency-fund.
